I don't know the cost, mama paid it. Yeah she was a tough cookie; she taught school for 30 years and kept me in tow. She got me a job at Shorty Stevens Esso station when I was in the 7th grade. Shorty paid me $2.00 a day and I found out 25 years later mama was giving Shorty the money to pay me. Shorty was getting some free help (not much) and I was kept busy greasing cars, learning how work worked,and out of trouble.
