I'm like you; I cant throw anything away that I think I might use again. I've got a scrap barrel where I pitch all of little brackets, channel, rods, and just odd pieces. It come to the rescue more than once.

Know what you mean, later these little pieces become gussets, mounting tabs, and lots of necessary little pieces.... beats the heck out of having to cut them out of a brand new piece, especially at today's metal prices....
