The only problem that I can think of with a license plate location is that it is quite low and filling the tank might not be a fun process with back splash. Why not get a Hagen or other mfr fender door or even an OEM from something and mount it higher, i.e., in the panel behind the rear window or the quarter - then you will have an easier fill plus have a better set up for venting.
