Extra length was about 1 1/2". I re-ordered the steering wheel. The one I got is dished 4 1/2" The one I ordered is 2 1/4" dished, and I should be happier with it. I'll try to get a pic posted..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
