I would think building one out of wood , and covering it would be better IMO

Start with construction paper and tape , and make to your liking , then just un-tape it , and use it for transfers for the wood .

Be your own style and you did it yourself
Plus you can add drink holder holes , an arm rest , the ideas are almost endless .
Or use a nice top laminate type ( walnut , birch , ect..) plywood , and stain it and clear it for a rich look .

I agree with SprayTech.it's not very hard to make using the card board model.I use the B&M hammer shifter,A/C Controls,Alpine stereo,Vents 2 on the side &1 on the rear & door,trunk switches on rear vertical panel.I trimmed with black acrylic.
