Removing 28 Ford RPU window post
I am trying to remove the drivers side widow post. I want to install a side mirroe in one of hte allen head bolt holes.
I have tried to remove the allen head bolts but they keep spinning inside and there is no way to get at the nuts.
Anyone have a suggestion?
I can add pics if needed.
Thank you

It sounds to me like the nuts or nut plates inside have become detached and are just spinning on the bolt. You are probably going to have to drill out the head and get the post off to see whats going on in there. If you start out with a small bit and work up to a larger one you should be able to remove the head.
As for a repair once that is off, maybe a nutsert or perhaps you can get in there to weld a new nut in place.

Thank you , that is what I thought was going on. I would turn the top allen head bolt and you could see movement on the lower one , so I figured there must be a plate in there. I just could not see in there to confirm that.
