The timing is right at what BDS recommends (14 initial with 32 total), no vacuum advance, 7.5 to 1 compression, the cam is a mild blower grind with minimal overlap, it pulls 15 in. vacuum at a 1200 rpm idle (too high) and the plugs are a nice tan color. I've checked all the gaskets for a leak, the blower has been recently rebuilt, the compression checks out, power is right there...I can't find anything that says this combination shouldn't settle down and behave like the Holleys I took off 'cuzz they leaked. I've been working with a tech at Edelbrock but I think he's lost.
