Hi Ryan, I'm the guy who sent you the pictures we PM'd about. Welcome to this forum.

I take it you are looking for glass? If so, I have experience with two brands....Speedway (mine) and Total Performance (my Sons). They both have good and bad points, but I sort of lean toward the Speedway having a better, thicker layup. The bodyshop that painted both of our cars said they had a heck of a time getting my Sons straight enough for paint, but were able to get mine shiny black pretty easily. Now, in defense of that, my Son Dan and I spent lots of time priming and block sanding mine before it went in for paint. However, the one indisputable fact is that my Speedway body is lots thicker than the TP. On the other hand, the TP had crisper edges to the body moldings.

There are other bodies out there, like Spirit, but I have no experience with them. Good luck on your search.

    Don

PS, I just noticed you included '27 in your search. I have a '27 roadster bodied car that I have had for about 20 years, and the body on it has been fine. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

guys thanks for the insight, I have not made up my mind yet on which way I'm gonna go..I hoping I can find an abandon project on the cheap, because of all my other projects going on. But I've collected parts and built this car in my head for 15years now so it's time to do this....

there is agreat little T Bucket shop in Knoxville TN. Hermans Fast Glass. I was there last friday and he has about 6 bodies made up ready to chose from. I see you are in KY, maybe close enough to go there and save the shipping.
