Don't have a personal experience to share, but I'd bet the small bearing bolt pattern is your limiter. The Explorer swap is very common to big bearing 9", and it's an 8.8 housing, so the 2K stang is probably the same. Best thing would be to measure the bolt pattern at the axle housing end before buying. Could be that aftermarket will be your only choice.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
