Thanks for the ideas. Looks like I have a lot of options. I think I'll buy a set of the plans to further my thinking. I got a good look at one of those Pontiac roadsters yesterday - forget what they're called. It has a tilt front end so I studied that hinge for a while. Of course, that hinge runs steel to steel and mine will be steel to fiberglas. I guess I'll just have to beef up the glass around the mounting point.
