Well, I moved the shifter off column and put a B&M Starshifter in the floor so it is just a matter of getting the switch for the lights to stay put in the right spot to kick on the lights when the shifter hits reverse. Had it once but the screw hole stripped- one twist too many of screwdriver- just gotta get a little bolt and nut to fit in there and let things still move like they should. Thanks.

Just a quick update, got the back-ups working and the dome light chased back to the headlight switch- a little fiddling and it started working again- so a new switch seems to be in the future. So all lighting issues seem to be taken care of now so thanks again for your time and brainwork getting me pointed in the right direction.
