Im restoring a 1970 chevelle malibu. It's a 307 small block with a powerglide. I have already taken out that engine. what Iam having trouble on is dont know what exaclty to change or upgrade.to make the bb fit. I just purchased a 396 bbc with a th-350 that came off a 1969 chevelle. What do i need to change to have that combo fit right .. would apriciate any help and if possible email me with your answers....(prez600@hotmail.com) thanks

Read this, 307 motor mounts and frame brackets are different from the rest, I changed my '68 from 307 to 400 and had to deal with this also. Some headers need to be checked for clearances if you use 307 mounts & 307 frame brackets!

This only happens with a car that came with a 307.
