1953 Bel Air 2 Door Post, hood hinge issues...
I have a problem that seems to bug all these models. My hood is not on straight, and looks like it is popped up by the windshield. Anyone one know of a fix for this? See how the hood is sticking way up? And by the way it's a 1953 two door post Bel Air.
Or can someone recommend a good body shop here in the Sac Town area? Thanks [IMG][/IMG]1952 Ford F1 Pickup

The hood sticking up at the back is caused by wear in the hinge pins. It sure doesn't take much! My '54 was like that, I brazed the holes a bit smaller and hand-fit the pins and fixed it.

That sounds like an easy fix. I didn't know people still brazed these days. Good to know. Thanks1952 Ford F1 Pickup

well I decided to do another mod to gain max travel of bars past the intended travel points just for that peace of mind. 1/8 inch is to close so now I'll have 1/2" or better. I cut a 3/16" wall...
