If you are going to ceramic coat- you can buy mandrel bends & weld it up yourself. I did that in 3" on the 55. The roadster is stainless from mufflers back so I had that done.

Theres two that I know of - one in Midland Park, NJ, the other in Ramsey. Both have benders, the Midland Park one is very good, don't know about the Ramsey one but he is highly recommended. If these are near where you are, reply and I'll get addresses.

do those guys tend to hot rodders whom would hang around his car to tell them what they need exactly?

im going with polished stainless tubes, im trying not to do any welds , the way im doing it, im sure it can be done if someone where to make the correct bends

The one in Midland does a lot of hot rod work, but I'm not sure he works in stainless. It's Steves Auto Repair, 201-445-4477. I don't have the name or telephone # of the other one, but he does street rod work.

I agree with Dave. The benders most muffler shops have are the ones that deform the bend and make them look like the ones you buy at Autozone. I would think properly welded tubing that is ceramic coated would be much prettier. I don't think stainless bends well in those kinds of benders either.......kinks?

Another thought is that you can make up a dummy set by welding one up, and send that to one of the stainless exhaust shops and have them duplicate them.
