    Shaved Handles/Power Windows

I understand this thread has been up MANY of times in the past and yes I did read a few of the posts. The only reason I posted a thread like this again was to get an answer that will fit my make/model truck and also an update from others here who have had these for a while. I have a 66 Ford F100 that I plan to shave the door handles from and wanted to know what your guys' oppinions would be.
1.) What brand would you guys go with?
2.) What pound solenoids? (these doors are not TOO heavy but then again they aren't that light)
3.) I want the electric button one, but also want the emergency pull handle.
4.) Which brand(s) should I stay away from?
The only brands I know of really are Spal, Auto Loc and the Electric Life or whatever brand that LMC carries.
Also while I am at it I'd like to do the power window kit too so any oppinions on this is helpful too.
I have the original fuse block and wiring in this vehicle (all in pretty good shape) but I do not have any more open circuits for accesories, any idea's for this? I was thinking of buying a 21 circuit fuse block and just switching the wires from the old one to that and then have my open ones left.
Thanks a lot for any help and oppinions!

I use Dakota Digital, it's a bit more expensive, but it sure is nice stuff!!!! As for the emergency pull handle, I just use a Morse cable from the parts store, lots cheaper!!!

Dakota, thanks Dave I will keep that in mind on the list. That is one I forgot to list. As for Auto Loc, I have heard 50/50 on that and it makes me wonder if it is more of an advertising company and that is why it seems they are so big or if it's because their products really are good...

Don't know about their heavy duty stuff, but their Kit pieces must not be that reliable. I've replaced a few on customer's cars....

Thanks again guys. I will look into both of these and also will go with the 30 pound ones. So Ebay is the way to go you think?

Maybe for you, I just drive to Sioux Falls and pick mine up right at Dakota Digital!!!! Only thing about eBay, if it's some offbrand, warranty is a booger. If you need 30 pound pull, then go 50. Too much pull is like too much horsepower, can't imagine it ever happening!!!!!

I will take your advice Dave. I meant on Ebay to buy Auto Loc from a company on there, not another brand but that might void warrenty too huh?

Depends on who's selling them, if he's a bona fide Auto-Loc dealer should be no warranty problem. If not, good luck!!!
