$120 to ship 2 1/4 panals???
I just ordered quarter panals for my '67 Falcon from JC Whitney, as there the only supplier for '66-'69 Falcon quarter panals. shipping came out to $120 for Fed Ex Freight, seems a little high, as it cost my dad $99 to ship his crate 350 yellow freight ( even tho Yellow passed it off to another company they worked with ).You don't know what you've got til it's gone

That sounds about right for shipping quarter panels as they are in odd (read this as freight companies consider this oversized) size boxes. Believe it or not, both UPS and Fed Ex prices have jumped almost 28% in the last year due to rising fuel costs. Guess that is why you are in shipping sticker shock at the moment.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

I didn't realise the shipping cost's went up. I did save $20 somthing on the rest of the order, they had a free shipping promo on orders over $75, so I got 3 Sun Pro gauges ( boost/vac, voltmeter, and oil press ) with free shipping. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I won four doors from a Model A sedan off of Ebay.......mint condition and I stole them for $ 60 total. However, shipping was $ 240.00 As Bill mentioned, these bigger parts take up room in a truck, so they charge you a premium for that space.

The shipping price isn't so bad when you consider what it would cost you to go pick them up.

Well, friend of mine was in town today. Has a truck leased on with Sammon's out of Missoula, Mt. With this absurd fuel price, the surcharge is now 33%....which means take the normal freight rate, then add 33% to it... UPS just went up again a couple weeks ago, too.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I'm really not worried about the cost now, I'm more worried on the fit of them. they are El- Cheapo, no brand 1/4's, but there all that is available for '66-'69 Falcons. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Matt you can massage them and get a good fit . Some times you get lucky but dont be afraid to drill some spot welds and readjust them .
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
