30 Model A Fordor Body Help

I have what's left of 30 Model A Fordor and I need help in figuring out the shape of the body front to rear (i.e. is it the same as a tudor?). The reason I am asking is that there are no floor boards or subrails in it at all so I was hoping to possibly adapt subrails from a tudor to help establish the shape front to rear. Does anybody know if the shapes are close or are they are so far different that I need to make my own from scratch.

Any help in this direction would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Seanpd

    Fordor help

The frame is not the problem, its the shape of the body itself from front to back as viewed from above that I need help with. Since there isnt any wood or steel left from the floor, the body is trying to go in 5 different directions. so I was hoping I could get some measurements or something to help establish a base to start with. I was hoping Tudor subrails were close to the shape of my Fordor so I could adapt them to my car?

    Thanks Seanpd

I just phoned my Kid to ask him this question, as he built his '29 first as the Fordor it was, but then he modified it into a RPU. He says no, they are totally different, and in fact the Fordor had no metal subframe, only wood. What he did to his was fasten it to a plywood platform after squaring it up, and then he built an inner framework out of steel tubing to replace the rotten wood.

He said he would be very surprised if the Tudor subframe would fit, as the contours of the body are different.

Here are some shots of how he fastened his down and framed it with steel.

Sean,I misunderstood what you were asking. The Tudor subrails should be close enough to get you started.Once you get the body back on the frame you can work out the door post alignment. Are all the body subrails gone?Good luck,Glenn
