Yeah, those Mid '70's Maverick rears seem about right for these A's. The S10's are a little too narrow, I would think. I have both rear axles, and the S10 is considerably more narrow than the Maverick.
If you aren't out hammering the A, with sticky tires, the 8 inch is ok, and a lot more available than the 9 inchers.
