What I do is find a car that has the color I like & find the make, model & yr. of the car. With this info a body paint & supply co. can tell you the paint code & mix it for you.
For my 48 Gmc trk I picked Solar yellow which is a color user on late model Crysler products(Prowler/2005 Dodge trks...etc).Don Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).
