    rust protection???

During a rainy night, I guess one of my wing windows was open. The next morning my floor board was prett damn wet on the passenger side. So I plan on yanking the seats out tearing out the ugly carpet and drying it the best I can.

What are the steps to making sure my floor panels don't rust out now that they've been wet for a few days? Is there a rust protection product I can spray?? I do plan on re-carpeting the car but not until I am sure its not gonna rust up on me.

    Thanks guys.

I think you're getting a little carried away with you worries about you floors rotting out because you left a window open once. If for peace of mind you want to pull up the carpet and inspect, fine. While you're in there you can apply any number of products to protect the metal,I like POR-15 ,and maybe add some quality sound control like dynamat. just a thought, Hank
