That's an old timey fix for inline Chebbie sixes - I've forgotten the name of the product now - it looked like ATF, but my father used to do that a lot years ago - man o man, not a skeeter for blocks for the white smoke cloud. Then there was "Upper Cylinder Lubricant" which went in the gas tank or down the carb and did the same thing.

Which reminds me, while taking down the outside Xmas decorations today, I saw several mosquitos - makes you wonder where winter is in my part of the country - it's ~ 50 here in Upstate NY and going to the mid 60's by Saturday.
