    Question Which is better

I was talking to this guy and he asked me what I was planning in putting into my 1969 El Camino after I finished the body work. I told him I was planning to put in a 572. but he thought it would be in my best interest to a well built small block that would save me weight and allow for more rpm's but I would lose precious horsepower and torque. I was wondering that if I'm planning to put my car on the 1/4 that I would only need about 6000 rpm's. And the big block would weight more but I would push out so much more horsepower and torque in the block. Which one should I go with??

a 565/582 short deck would work good .and the headers would fit better tall deck would need custom headers so why stop at 572 /589 had one in my gto.s great engine but you could build a 632 pump gas engine that would be a killer . a small block would work to move it but the big chevy is a new world .how deep are your pockets? you go all alum and it is light like small bock chevy light
