No, 910 said the car has no power as in electrical power. If your alternator were to fail, the battery would run the car. If your battery failed, the car wouldn't be able to start once you shut it down, but that wouldn't explain the complete power loss. I think it is a short circuit that drained all of the power your car could have produced for a few seconds, then maybe fried your alternator so you ran your battery down. Check the positive wire isn't rubbing on any exhaust components or that the alternator lead hasn't exploded on top of the engine, mine did. Just spliced a new piece of wire in and was good to go.
