I will measure a 302 we have sitting in the shop, and my 200 block, I'll post the diffrence in length tomorrow. I do know, it can't be more than a couple inches diffrence or so. a 200-250 block has a 3.680 bore stock, if you take that in consideration, the block has 22.08" of cylinders, lengthways, so, it's likely 5" or so, longer than that ( figuring in cylinder wall thickness, ect... ). a V8 with a 4" bore, would have 16" of cylinders lengthways, so it may have 5" or so more than that ( figuring in cylinder thickness, ect... ), but also, this is a bare block I'm talking about, I know that a SBF waterpump sticks out a bit because of the way it attaches to the block, the small 6 water pump is much shorter, the impeller actully sits inside the block right in front of the #1 cyl.

the 6cyl in a '61 Fairlaine would be in the same class as the 223 I6, never offered in a Falcon Chassie, in fact, it probably wouldn't fit. The basic Falcon chassie was used from 1960-1980 where it was last used ( tho had many changes ) in the 1980 Ford Granada.

Matt, no matter what you put in an A, other then the 4 popper it came with, it will need firewall work and it will be tight....
