Best scenario here is to extend the framerails ahead of the firewall by about 8". Don't cut the firewall at all---run a custom "pinnochio style" hood top. If you want to run full fendered, then run the front fenders in the stock position (as dictated by the fit at the front of the frame horns which are now moved out 8",) make up a set of longer running boards, and add a peice to the splash aprons above the running boards.
