Thumbs up Oval tubing exhaust system

I just got a chance last night to drop in on Pat McCarthy and take a look at the exhaust system on my '64 Fairlane at about 90% completion....

You've probably seen his post "Stepped Headers" with some pix of the header construction. I know he's kind of shy, but I've got to say that the headers are among the best I've seen anywhere, and the exhaust is really turning out to be a work of art! I will hate to put the floor in the car and hide his work!

Too bad the Spin Tech mufflers have such scabby MIG welds - next time I'll see if they will sell "you-weld-em" muffler kits.

So ask him nicely, and perhaps he'll post some new pictures. He's an artiste!!! I am thankful that he agreed to take on this job.

I bookmarked the thread Pat did on making headers. You are right, his work really is too nice to cover up.

I'm waiting for him to do more of these threads, but he is holding out for more money.
