You may want to look into a subframe from a camaro . You will gain power dics brakes, power steering, and motor mounts for sbc. Then when you need new parts you know what to buy for.
By the way: Welcome to CHR you'll get a ton of support here.

I do not know the widths of the frames. I have used 80's camaros for a lot of cars and trucks. You could use one from a Monte Carlo or any other car that suits your need. Don't get me wrong you'll have to do a lot of measuring before cutting. If you don't have the tools and knowledge to do this you may be better off trying to find the parts you started out looking for.

I don't know what they cost but a mustange ll front end may be a way to go$$$.

There are a number of people who have the mustII kits for these cars..... most run between $1500-$2000....

    $1500-2000......................

I am not going to say what is best, but I put a Nova clip in my 51 Ford pickup and it cost me next to nothing. Maybe, I got lucky that it didn't need any ball joints or anything. I did replace the idler arm .

Point is, do what you can best afford............Me, I am not the type to sink alot of money into my cars.

Also, I feel that the M11 setup is for lighter duty cars...........a full size Chevy or a pickup truck is a lot heavier than the Mustang.....just my opinion.

I plan on putting a front subframe in my 53 Bel Air soon. Its from a 78 Z28. I imagine it isnt too hard.. I see lot of cars that have it. I did some quick measuring and it looks like it will work fine.
This might be the best way to go if you have the experience and tools. Also, all the front end parts such as bushings and ball joints are still easy to get.

I will post pictures of my progress as it comes along. Good luck with yours.
Got any pictures of the wagon??

When you get the front spindles, backing plates and brake drums off the old Chevy, give me a PM. I'd be interested in buying the setup from you.

There's nothing wrong with the original suspension, it was used on Corvettes until '62. A power rack and pinion from a Celebrity and Chevelle discs fix it up nice.
