Using my pattern making skills (which were by now getting pretty good) I got out the trusty cardboard and glue gun, and made a swoopy looking pattern of that original plywood mock-up center fin, and cut it out of 3/16" mild steel plate. I welded the base of it onto a 1" x 1/4" flat bar, and welded two 3/8" diameter threaded studs to the bottom of it.Old guy hot rodder
