Truck trans usually have different cases and bolt patterns plus clutch splines and input shaft length-that is for the TRUCK trans like with a GRANNY first gear---other issues-altho the truck, car, bbc and sbc have same bell housing to block patterns, flywheels are some internal some external balanced and different number of teeth on flywheel ring gear which means a different starter---------
