    In this case and inch is as good as a mile! An inch per side is a bunch. Depending on how much room you have on the back side (fender well, springs, whatever else is back there) you could either have the rear narrowed or more rear offset on the wheels. Converting to discs usually adds more than it subtracts, probably be even at best. The other choice would be to get a different aspect ratio tire, e.g. 70 bulges less than 60, 75 less than 70, so on, but if you're off by an inch that's not likely going to do it.
