My Son did this on his '29, and I bought him a brand new mustang 3 row to put in it. He had to make side brackets to go to the frame and connect to the mustang side mounts. Then he built an expanded metal screen to go in front of it to hide the mustang radiator (the mustang is much smaller than the original model a, so it shows up inside the grille and looks bad)

After all that, we tore it out and ordered a custom made radiator because he had a lot of work in the rest of the car, and we didn't want to cheap out on this part either. It really didn't look good, but if it is a beater, it will probably be ok.

The other consideration was cooling capacity. He has a 455 olds, so we thought it might not cool it. However, a lot of guys with rat rods are running this radiator, and say it cools a sbc ok.
