yeah it's an internal reg, Ok cool so I'm wiring it up right. That's the way I was going to try it first.

I do have another question,.... I want to connect an LED I have to the 12v wire going to the coil so I can see instantly if I'm getting power to the coil.
Would it be ok if I tapped into it at the podium out of the ignition and grounded it there on the podium, or will it ground out the power prematurely?
Is there a better way to connect in to the wire for power verification?1983 Chevy K10 w/

I bought the 76 in August , but haven't been able to work on it. When I get a chance I'll post some pictures.
