I'm no expert but I've put in a few windows .
And if it doesn't fit in the beginning then it wont fit later.
sound like you need to pull it out and find a good quality product ...
Stupid question > : I know a 37' ford shouldn't!! have a locking strip but I don't know what company your dealing with so ... it's not missing a hard formed locking strip that fits in to the channel/gap that would lock the window in is it ? other then poor quality or wrong seal I don't know what to tell you . Got pictures ?
Maybe some one else with more experience will have a quick fix for you .
