    I also wondered about the rims but when I had new tires installed they said nothing about a rim being bent when they were balanced but it needs drums as it shakes the car a bunch when the brakes are applied. JEff

    if it viberate with the brakes applied then it drums. if you don't know if its front or rear, with the car rolling along pretty good pull up on you hand brakes, and if it viberates that will mean you rear drums are bad. if you don't feel it, it means your front rotors/drums are out of round. don't lock the hand brake up, just a little pressure will do.
