    tail light question

     



    ok i wanna get rid of my taillights and put an brakelight bar in. but someone told me the LED's were illegal?
    is this true?

    Not sure what your talking about you have to have taillights and as far as I've heard LEDs are not illegal here in MI.

    i'd say if they are "DOT" approved then you can run them, and if they're not you can't. look at the lights and see if its has an "DOT" stamp on it.

    A lot of new cars have LED tail lights, so whoever told you that is spaced. They probably heard some story based on Mike's correct comment about DOT approval and botched it.

    ok i looked up the LED light bars and it doesnt say.
    i spose ill have to find out the hard way lol
