Motor mount problem?
Hey guysi need some help with some motor mounts? We're working on a 79 camaro w/ a 350 in it. We put new mounts on the frame and engine, and when we dropped the engine in the motor mounts on the engine are not setting right w/ the mounts on the frame. Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this?

Bolt the frame mounts to the engine mounts, lower the engine and center it in the car. Either mark and drill new holes, or weld the frame mounts to the crossmember...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

There are several mount holes in the camaro frame if you do as Dave said (mount the frame mounts to the engine) and shift the assembly around you'll probably find the right holes.Charlie

Don't know exactly why but this reminded me ....... maybe a premonition
Keep your and your buddy's fingers clear of the mounts when you are trying to line the thing up. I had a friend lose the tip of his index finger once lining up a SBC motor mount

The engine looks awesome, I like the low intake. That'll be some eye candy when the hood is popped.
