I am getting a 69 nova and it does not have a front bumper and it is going to be a race car and stock bumpers are heavy so besides a fiberglass font clip what can I do? Thanks in advance!

hmmm well it is work. some cars are a bit harder to do on gm stock four links stuff will get in the way.on leafs springs are not to bad. how much hp thru leafs? the spring holds the car up that is all if you keep them from the winding up .over 750+hp with my old chevy with a 548 blown big block with floaters and ladder bars and stock 1950 springs

Maybe some traction bars, but that's about it. I see you're running a powerglide transmission which has a very high first gear. This means you wont have as much torque trying to twist the axle out from under the car as someone running a turbo350 or a 700r4. This will make your suspension setup a little easier to do. I say, build the car and take it for a test run down the track. If you can't hook up the rear end, start spending money on it. If it does work with stock springs and minor modifications, you just saved yourself a lot of money.

Sense I can keep the leaf srings when I mini tub it will I have to move the springs or anything else? Also what if I put kind of like a role pan on the front were the bumper goes like a peace of sheet metal or aluminum I dont know I am thinking out loud? One more thing besides traction bars and what else? Also will a truck GM12 bolt be enough with 35 spline axles and what ever gear I deside to use or should I get some thing else?
