I've got a '56 Ford steering box in my '27 on A rails. It steers like power steering.

The stock triangular flange was too big to fit inside my rail, so I cut it down and welded an adapter plate to it that is the correct width to fit in there.

I have another one that I am using on my '39 Dodge truck, but I only have it mocked up into place. I buy up every one of them I can find, as they are old timey, but work great.

On the '27 I went through the original model A steering box hole, but on the '39 I am going over the top of the frame, and will build a mount there. This isn't a great picture, but is all I have.

    Don

PS: Find one in good shape, as the worm gear and sector are VERY expensive new. I rebuilt the one in my '27, and it wasn't cheap.
