OK you buffs , heres a question for you
I have a 49 Anglia , had it for 25 years stored in a barn , the car has been dismantled and hangs from the rafters and walls ,
Always thought of running a smallblock setup ... after the long wait I finally am in a strong enough position to do something with it starting this winter .. know I'm thinking of hooking it all up to a 72 VW ( stored for the last 12 years ) Has anyone ever done this ? or am I nuts ?

I sure wouldn't waste a nice Anglia by using any vw stuff on it !!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I know this will tweak Streets BUT, you may be able to squeeeeeeze in a 289 ford with some major mods to the inner fenders and firewall Ive seen that done with the nescessary frame strengthening ,it does work .....How about a turboed
RX7??? takes up less space than the original power plant and
no major frame mods are required apart from some ladder bars.
stops the frame twist under hard acceleration Built one back in 79
with 12" rears it was hard not to spin the rear end at each gear change (4 speed manual )scared the s...t out of me and on a wet road was downright suicidal...sold it soon after completion
my wife then woudnt get in the thing
