filler neck relocation
Okay, here's my problem. On my 65' C-10 Fleetside, I relocated my fuel tank to under the bed behind the rear axle to get the tank out of the cab. My problem now is, I can't figure out a good place to put the filler neck so it's actually higher than the neck of the fuel tank. I tried already to put it in the center of the bed like most guys do, but the problem is that there is a sag in the fuel hose which prevents the fuel from entering the tank and causes it to over flow out the fuel inlet. Therefore, I relocated it to the fenderwell (in the bed). This location actually works, but once again the problem is clearance between the tire and hose. The truck isn't lowered yet and the tire already rubs on it. I was thinking about trying to go through the side of the bed behind the rear tire, but there is a cross brace in the way that would require some cutting and would end up being visible through the bed. Hopefully, someone on here has done this so I'm up for suggestions. I'm fairly new at restoring and modding older vehicles, but I have plenty of mechanical ability.Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD...you wanna' hit it, but you're affraid of the consequences.
Dammit, another good ol boy gone. Condolence to the family. RIP Mike
