VALVE LASH
intake........ .013 hot
exhaust..... .021 hot
now I'm not for sure but I dont think they are adjustable, but this is what my book says..joe
TooMany....thanx for your reply...
I guess that too many folks think that I allowed this!! This is a car I bought for my son, and it was HIS wonderful idea...
I have heard answers all the way from zero clearance to .030!! What finally happened was .010 for intake and .012 for exhaust. The thing is running....for now!:HMMM:
No one seems to know...period!
You may want more clearance on teh exhaust side, as things get hotter there than intake and the valve will get longer and take up the clearance and then not fully close, and then you'll burn the valve seat..and well, take ii tall apart agin.
This guy might have the book on CD fer ya. Then ya'll have answers to many more Q that are bound to come up. Good stuff fer the son.Quote:

Justin is right, i was referring to the .010 .012 NOT your larger numbers which have the 'right' spred between int and exh. And yes, HOT i saw..hate it when teh book says that!
