This exercise has nothing to do with tire size or transmission. It only determines the final drive ring and pinion ratio. If you're using a Powerglide, TH350 or TH400, the transmission ratio in high gear is 1:1
If you're using an overdrive trans such as a 700R4, you will have to multiply the final drive in the trans times the final drive in the differential to get your overall ratio in high gear.Last edited by techinspector1; 01-05-2006 at 08:03 PM.
