I too used an elec. fuel pump to get the old gas out off my 70 monte carlo,but I just unhooked manuel fuel pump and hooked my elec. pump to that line that way it let me get almost all the gas out into a clean white plastic bucket, letting me check for dirt and rust ,and on my 47 fleetline it had a drain plug on the tank,and like the gentleman, said I think yours will too !!
