When the blown 392 is finished I need a other transmision.
The old 1957 torqueflite won't hold I think.

I prefer a 4 or 5 speed with lockup.
I will do some towing with a 6500 pound

There are diverend adaptor plates ready made for the 393.
What is the best transmision to use and what transmision has the least internall power loss.
I prefer an overdrive for a bit more topspeed.
And smaller range between 1 st 2nd and 3th.
Now 1st is 2.45-1 2nd1.45-1 3th 1-1
with a 3-18 -1 final drive and 255/75/15 tires.
