i've had good luck with the 1993 lt1. it depends on if you want the EFI or not. i wanted the EFI, that 2000.00 to put one in is based on being able to do all the work yourself, getting most of the stuff you need off of a donner car. for someone just getting started and wanted a EFI motor i would go with tune port. if you're gonna put a carb. on it, it makes no dif. no how.
