    Electric fans/cfm

In testing some electric fans @ 14.4 volts for amps (amperage is related to watts/work/cfm) I have found that of the 4 I tested, the highest cfm was produced by a salvage yard fan off a Lincoln mark 8.

It pulled 38 amps which is aprox 550 watts, which is approx 45 %more wattage than a well advertised after market fan.

This is a 2 speed fan which I would guess has about 4000 cfm in free air. The low speed is for running with a/c, the high speed for extreme temps.

    Part no. f7lz 8c607, less than $200 @ dealer.

    Don

Ps-I will not release the after market fans I tested for abvious reasons. I was told at the salvage yard that this is the same fans used on some high performance Mustangs
