Swapped a CFI 305 for a 4bbl 350 HO, need help!
I have a 1982 Z28 pace car. As I said, I swapped the burnt CFI 305 for the 4bbl 350 I built. Didn't want to use all the electric stuff, just what I needed to. Got it all set in there nice and tight, planning on using the electric fuel pump in the tank...I need to re-route the fuel lines, but after that is there anything else or should I be good. I mean, will I need to run a power wire from the pump to the ignition or is that already hooked up internally? I have no idea. Other than that I just have to hook up the exhuast and the radiator and it should be ready. I really appreciate any help you can give on this matter. I do have a mechanical pump, but would still have to run new lines, thought it would be easier to just use what is already there. Thanks guys.

You can feed the carb using the in tank pump by installing a bypass fuel pressure regulator . Your distributor should be changed out as the original HEI spark timing is controlled by the computer . Your fuel pump is energized through the oil pressure sender .

the power wire for the internal tank pump should be there. I don't think that pump would work for the carb, it's probably way to high of a PSI. hook up a vac/ fuel preassure gauge up to the line and turn the car ign on, see what it reads, anything over 10 PSI is too much for a carb, 5-7 PSI is perfect generallyYou don't know what you've got til it's gone
