Gee, it kinda depends upon your rear tire height and transmission ratios.

For instance, a 700R or 4L40 has a 3.11 first gear but the Turbo 350 has a 2.52 first gear. The Overdrive 700R/4L60 has a top gear of 0.70 while the TH350 is 1.0

If you ran a fairly short tire, the 3.08 ring and pinion would work. I have a 700R4 with 4.56 rear and 37" tall tires and it isnt enough to hurt your neck.

Do a little math and see how your combo compares to an equivalent weight car.... compare with a similar engine and you will get an idea of the performance to expect.
