I drive big trucks for a living and pulled a car last year from texas to florida. This was with a car dolly like your talking about.
I will only recomend a dolly for short trips now. It's just like the guys have already told you no tight turns and check the straps alot. You also have to watch your speed or the dolly can get loose. And you can't back them up very easy. If I do across country trip towing a car again, It wil be with a double axle trailer that gets the whole car up off the ground. See my car did'nt have lock steering. I did tie the steering so not to let it move. But after awhile I would look in the mirror and see the car off to the right and a few minutes later it would be off to the left. That''s not the way I like to tow for hundreds of miles. Though It does keep you awake, wondering if it's going to hit some thing. Rent a trailer to put the whole car on. And you'll be able to back up with it, if you need too. It's just alot safer in my book, and I would hate to see some thing happen to your new ride.
