i run AMS oil in everything i got, change filter about every 12000 miles and oil about 25000. far as i know it works great. AMS oil has a better motor warranty than GM. oil co. couldnt tell you to stop changing you oil if they wanted to. they would go broke in about 60 days. so what the real truth is i dont know.
